Anton Zwijsen

Anton Zwijsen MSc studied Physics and Astronomy at the University of Ghent, Belgium. In 2014 he graduated for this Bachelor’s and in 2016 for this Master’s degree. He specialised in cosmology and medical physics. In his master’s thesis he did his own scientific research on a new form of visualisation of epileptic activity on PET-scans.

While still at University, Anton started out on his acting career. By proving himself in student film productions, he soon landed several (inter)national roles in (tv)-commercials, feature films, short films, corporate films and music videos throughout The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain and the UK. You might have seen Zwijsen in commercials for Amstel Beer, Stimorol and the Dutch Ministry of Finance, to name a few. He played a big role in the international feature film DETENTION, by well- known Belgian movie director Johan Vandewoestijne (aka James Desert). He also stars in former Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley’s music video PRAYERS OF LIGHT next to World Wrestling Federation legend Chris Jericho. Several new roles have been announced on his IMDb.

Since childhood Anton Zwijsen has been fascinated by the Japanese martial arts, in which he is now specialised and holds several black belts. He holds a second degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, a black belt in Judo and intensively trains Karate, Aikido, Iaido (the Japanese sword), Kyusho-Jitsu (pressure point fighting) and Kobudo (traditional weapons). In 2014 Zwijsen travelled to Japan for three months intensive training with grandmasters of Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido and Karate. After that, Anton built a comprehensive YouTube channel where he demonstrates his most spectacular martial arts techniques.

On a musical level Zwijsen is skilled on guitar, piano, bass guitar and bodhrán as well as in composition theory. His competence in the field of music is partly self-taught and partly developed at de Kunsthumaniora in Antwerp and at the conservatoire in Ghent. In his Master’s he finished the subject of choice ‘Harmony and Counterpoint’ with highest distinction. Anton regularly performs shows with well-known guitar virtuoso, his brother, Thomas Zwijsen. Anton Zwijsen composes his own music as well. In his composition GALACTIC REVENGE he combined is skills on guitar, piano and composition, visually with a spectacular martial arts choreography.

Also during his time at University, but aside from the curriculum, Anton followed courses on internet marketing. With this knowledge he’s been making digital products and websites for himself as well as for clients. An example is an ebook on communication skills that he brought to the market together with his father. Furthermore Zwijsen hit the Belgian national newspaper headlines when he was the first to register the very best and most wanted .vlaanderen domain names, many of which have been successfully sold.
